Hello and welcome to my website! Thank you for visiting! I am very excited to begin my 8th year here at Midland School, now entering my 9th year of teaching. Prior to Midland, I was a teacher for students with learning disabilities, ages 7-10 at a private school. I have learned so much through this opportunity and was eager to bring what I have learned to the Rochelle Park community.
I received my bachelor’s degree in 2011 from the University of Hartford, where I studied Integrated Elementary and Special Education with a concentration in Behavioral Studies. It was through this experience that my passion to work with students with special needs arose and how I quickly leaned how a teacher can change a child’s life in more ways then one. When given the opportunity to join Midland School, I then began to continue my studies through William Paterson where I received my standard certification to teach Preschool-age learners. I have also completed a Masters degree in Curriculum and Learning with an emphasis in Early Childhood. I truly love teaching and creating a strong foundation for your child’s academic career. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year with you and your child, and I cannot wait to watch them make achievements and grow each and every day! |
Teaching

I believe that connecting learning experiences to students’ interests, strengths, and learning styles makes learning more meaningful and effective. As a teacher, I am constantly striving to get the best out of each and every one of my students. Through individual instruction and also the opportunity to create social skills through hands-on experiences within a safe learning environment, students will be motivated to reach their full potential. With the use of Applied Behavioral Analysis methods, incidental teaching, and peer/group interactions, each child’s needs will be met and addressed to provide them the opportunity to develop skills which will promote independence and a deeper understanding of concepts.
